IMHO, the hardscape looks like this, WELCOME HAND. Too much wood of the same length.

Would it be too troublesome to cut it now?
hahaha.. ok.. then its plant masking time!![]()
Looks like you need the ADA Superge for some of your ADA glasses...![]()
Filter only clean once in 6mths no?
I believe it is not too much wood when it starts to "boomz" as the plant will crowd out the wood. You know what I mean. It really depends on the plant how they firm up. I am sure the hardscape is in place.

I would just saw the wood to the size i want. Same length wood gives flat view, different length wood gives you more depth and perspective, nothing got to do with plant, for plant itself is how you going to trim them and not letting them grow wild. Trimming plant also needs some skill.![]()

As for growing plants, no one can beat Adrian. Look at the explosive growth on his tank..![]()

Chee Yong, I think the wood arrangement on the left side has power and looks very dynamic but I also think it's too far left by about an inch or two. The right side doesn't match the left for dynamism due to the straight wood.
It's a very attractive scape that has wow factor super duper gear notwithstanding!
William, those 'ginseng root' wood shape I actively dislike. I think it comes from seeing too many design magazine pics of interiors decorated with this bunch of squiggly long rattan/wood. It is funny because if you see this squiggly bunch of wood sticks in an interior design magazine, I can immediately guess it's a Singaporean design magazine. I love these magazines and so happen to notice these things. LOL.

Just have to keep looking because you have potentially a very very 'happening' scape.
