Ask ah Thio to open his store for you to choose. I think sera center has some similar wood like yours.

What a dream tank..
Do provide an update!
have not been updating the tank as it have been plague by green water.
Its just beside the window and caught in the afternoon sun.
After trying a few ideas, the last and most effective way is to use the UV light.
That light is magnum, 2x36w PL light.

An updated photo, more fine tuning on the way.

Growing nicely i see!!
Do consider some reds like L. arcuata for example. i think a scape like that simply calls out for some attention.
Also do you plan of stuffing plants in-between your rocks in the front? small brighter green plants peppered there would look great i think.
Hi Chee yong....
you need 1 big improvement to your tank....top up the sand foreground especially on the right side, so that the ADA logo is visible!
nice tank!
just watch up for your leggy stem plant, i can already see a hole in there....should patch it up!![]()
I think some Ludwigia brevipes or Rotala rountifolia would be great.
petite nana as you have suggested will be great between the rocks. You can also try some fissidens or small crypts there.
One thing though, i find the scape slightly off-balanced primarily because of the wood on the right sticking to the surface. Maybe you can add a similarly long wood on the left side.

do not do to others what you will not want done to you!
be kind! =)
Personally, i dont know if i would do the "balancing" of a scape through the hardscape. i don't think weighing the wood on both sides to look similar will help and would probably "Stiffen" the scape. One suggestion perhaps if you want to "balance" out the scape more is that you can do it through the plant choice. You can use red plants to draw the eyes more to the centre or side or wherever you want. That way, when a person views the scape, they won't just see that wood jutting out. You can also grow more plants so that you block out the outstanding wood. Just a few simple suggestions as alternatives to actually physically changing the hardscape to "balance" out.
As for suggestions for some plants to stuff in the cracks... Stauro? hahaha.. i find them a nice light green...![]()
I think you need good lighting to bring out the strong lines of the hardscape for your photos. Right now it's looking 'unseparated'. I suspect it's because you only have one pair of lights at the back.
Still lots of time. Not sure what's your plan with the narrow leafs but do plant a lot more for faster results.
You can if you dare to fail - Stan Chung
Thanks, will try to do it with plants rather than wood..... as not much choice of woods i can find that is suitable for my aquascape.
Yes, i would need more light.when doing a proper shot.
Hope the narrow leaves will grow much faster
will monitor for a while. need to shop for some more plants i guess.

Bro,
Where did you get all the nice drift woods ? Can let me know please, thanks.
Did a short video of my aquascape.
Not able to link the video.

I agrees with Stan that you might need more lighting on the front, so we can give a better judgement of your scape?
But anyway here are my thoughts based on what I can seePerhaps the integration or relationship between the rocks, wood and plants are not strong enough? They feels very detached even though they are in the same tank? Unless intentionally, these are what you wanted them to be?
Cool! Saw your video!
Very healthy and clean tank! Yeah I think you just need to work those different elements of your scape in a way that they integrate better. Unless you intentionally wanted it this way
Those fishes are Hemigrammus rodwayi? They should lose their metallic sheen after sometime and becomes translucent?
Very nice scape tcy81. Like the details capture on video. maybe ADA should use video to judge in future. It can capture more details and health of plants than a photo.
God will make a way, where there seems to be no way
thanks, still need more time for the plants to grow more mature.
i will do some minor addition of plants soon.
Yes its Hemigrammus rodwayi. Hope i can get a nice scape before they lose their golden shine.
Think photo is still easier in logistic point of view.![]()
