Just to share with you guys, a couple of my bromeliads and tillandsias at my courtyard. There's a before and after picture as well as i brought in my Plumeria 'Bridal's Bouquet' to the courtyard to provide a hanging place for my larger tillandsias

My rows of bromeliads before i re-arranged them.

A shot of the courtyard without the Plumeria 'Bridal's Bouquet' in place.

And here's my current re-arranged bromeliads, much more neater and freeing up more space for perhaps more future acquisitions. My 4 little froggies sitting there smiling away! Oh and holler to the parrot as well!

hehehe... just to sneak in a shot of sunrise from the balcony

    Regards,
    Phillipe.

    Thanks Laban & Tarzanboy.

Bromeliads in general are very hardy to care for. Depending on which hybrids, most of them will fare well in our climate and as you can see they can take the full sun relatively well. Some do better in shade. In short, variable depending on the species.

All they require is a free draining medium like coco husks, clay pellets or lava rocks or just simply grown on its own. (epiphyte-like) No fertilizer is required as it'll cause the bromeliad to turn green. Just make sure they always have water in their cups.

The ones at World Farm are from the family, Vrieseas. Such prices for their colossal sizes are in fact reasonable.

It's a wholesale bromeliad company based in Florida. That's where i got my plants from apart from other sources. Have a look through at it and who knows, you might get hooked on it!
