I guess any fan will do but I am using profantec model. Quiter than other brand. As for Temp, it depends on the weather. On cool days, i achieve 27deg but on hot days, gosh it can be 29deg.
hi bros,
i am wondering which fan and what brand is suitable for a 3ft tank? the temp i'm looking for is about 27degs. Any bro out there using any fan for a 3ft tank and has any recommendations please kindly let me know which brand and model of fan =) thanks!

if u turn ur light temp went up 28 (maybe 29)..but denpen what ligthing u using..
if u serious on planting is better to have a chiller
The best and cheapeast fan i ever used was a DIY fan. Go to Sim Lim, look for a suitable DC powered fan and matching power adaptor (go for the cheap ones that output only the correct voltage) and viola, a super quiet tank fan. You can also cable tie the fan to your tanks light stand.
I gave up with fans and just got myself a chiller today. Resun CL-280 from NA, going at $280. Pretty easy to install.
whao that's great! however, i'm only a student and i don;t think i want to jump into something as expensive as a chiller for now and the electricity bill too would see a jump! so i think i'll stick to my 3 watt fans for now =) running two fans in the day for now! hope it works.
