Many dead, you still buy? Better quantine well first before putting in your main tank.

Do you have the new ANNs in your main or quarantine tank (granted that you're already aware of the dead and dying tankmates)? Stressed ANNs are susceptible to pale out and die, particularly young specimens (1cm is very young. Adults reach a max size of 2.5~3cm to caudal extension tip)
Also, I find it quite unacceptable (personal opinion only) to buy first, then ask what's their diet... by which time your new purchase may well be dead.
If you can get hold of daphnia/moina, use that first or very finely crushed flakes/pellets. They feed mostly at the surface but will take slow-sinking food.
They're also excellent jumpers, especially in new environment, so do provide refuge. Floating plants, a tank cover, will prevent a dry crispy on the floor. Watch and observe for harassment from the other tank inhabitants. Good luck.
I'm back & keeping 'em fingers wet,

Wah you must be a real desperado...!
So what are you feeding them now?
For close to a cm size really is very small.
Never kept killies before, but you can try feeding bbs or daphnia confirm they will eat greedy if they're healthy fish.
Then slowly train them to accept flakes or pellets.![]()

hi!
c328 sells in a bag in their chilled tank by the side when they have it. Its about 10 for 9 dollars i think. But the colors are hard to see because they are kept in brown water. I've rear some ANNs before but never with any success, usually they die after a few weeks and all. I guess to ensure a higher survival rate you might need to set aside species tank specially for these fellows. Anyway good luck on rearing! just my 2 cents worth.![]()
Cheers!

If you're going to buy Clown Killies, please, for the love of God, make sure they are NOT in the display tanks YET. Especially with the ones at C328 and any other place that houses their Clown Killies with other fishes in a cramped tank with several dead specimens.
Order directly from the shop people, in a certain quantity. Bring them home and acclimatise to your tank SLOWLY... this is very important or you will lose a large number of them.
As for diet, they prefer stuff that hang near the water surface. Daphnia and BBS drive them crazy, but for those who don't like live foods, maybe some crushed flake might get them to feed.
Ronnie here is an expert on the Clown Killie. He has bred them and raised them even in plastic tupperware containers.![]()
Fish.. Simply Irresistable
Back to Killies... slowly.
anyone seen them lately? planning to get them for my planted tank
