guys can you help advise why some moss are so green while others are darker in shade? is it due to water temperature or quality?

Cooler water and it will certainly look fresher, bushier and as green as it can be. A bit more light and it will look a little lighter.

Yes cooler water helps alot in moss health. Add some iron plus some potassium will also make them bright green. Phosphate also helps.![]()
