Never collect tanks, but more interested in the things in the bundle. haha
I'm concentrating on my 2 feet CRS / RCS tank. The rest of the tanks are either my dump tank or my future projects.

But i heard tat we can hand carry 1 litre of liquid back from oversea? this is what i knew from other threads.

Anyway time to watch my Sexy Mama CRS.

yes future master silane, my agent will also contact you soon..

i guess my future now is filled with carrying buckets of water and collecting rain water for you. haha..

eviltrain, i just came back from hongkong in april. i could not hand carry any liquids. not even my face soap. any water bottle must be emptied before boarding the plane in your handbag or hand carry..

one way i brought my shrimps and things back was to get a shoe box, filled it with newspaper and then put the packets in. remember to tell the store owner you are going to bring it onboard the plane. they will pack specially for you and also release some air to make room for air pressure.

    =D good luck!

    Re: Going rate

Pardon my asking, why the trouble to bring back shrimps from overseas? I mean, is it a uncommon shrimp or is it a lot cheaper? I am not for or against that, just asking out of curiosity.

If I see some rare shrimp spieces that I couldn't get locally, or that the rare spiece is cheaper overseas, I may consider doing what some of you did. But if it's CRS or other common shrimps, I don't think I will take the trouble.

OT : Ning, btw, what's the temperature in HK during April (which part of april)? I recall being there in April some years ago and it was a nice cool 20 degrees.

Some might be cheaper eg. crystal reds, some might be seasonal and not readily available to Singapore eg. ninja shrimps, some might be rare eg. black tiger shrimps, some just gets the kick out of transporting shrimps back to Singapore even though its common.

I am still waiting for both of your responses.

Both of you have to keep promise not to show my tanks setup schmatics diagram. Someone claimed to be my partner approached to my tank maker to ask him to see my schmatics. Seem that my tank design can worth some souls also beside my shrimps.

I would guess Silane will choose to be reaper instead, sounds more cooler. I guess the tank design and trade secret will worth more than 2 souls. Because if other people gives you the shimps, the problem will be how you keeping it alive.

OT BACK: GC, i don't remember the actual degrees but i remember i had to switch on the heater when i sleep, wear 2 jackets when i go out, and can see my breath at night. in short, it was freezing for me! but..my sister was fine with the weather.. probably sweat from all her shopping workout.

went there around.. 10 - 18? was there for 1 week.

there are some uncommon shrimps there like the blue tiger shrimp,(going at S$1 a pc) and some cheap mosuras.

    Re: Going rate

Those so-called blue tiger are stressed wild caught tigers. Some time you can get them at $0.50 at C328 in bag. Their blue is pale and will fade after some time. It is different from Golden Eyes Blue tigers which has deep blue and color does not fade. This type of wild caught blue tiger is common, else the price wont be that low.

Overall, I thought shrimps in Sg are almost the cheapest anywhere. I guess that some nice shrimps may have also triggered buying. Is Black tiger shrimps avail in HK? What's the price? I would love to have some black tigers, but I don't think I can afford it.

Your last line is funny. Humans... it's just like what a friend shared recently abt shop lifting during his teenage years. It's just the kick, not the money.

My soul is worth nothing but I am keen to see your setup too

Wah... 1 week in HK? I couldn't stand an extra day there then. Maybe I need to go HK again as a tourist.

How is the mosuras like? I mean, is it of solid colors and what's the rough price like, that makes pple want to bring back?

If real blue tigers are going at abt S$1, I will go there n buy.

What's the color of the "Apple snails"? Red or Green?

That's what I thought too. But than, when these wild caught tigers calms down, will it appear brown or remain as blue?

GE blue tigers are not easily available right? The price is high too.
