Hello everyone,

please I found such forum, as for the last few weeks, been thinking of having a fish tank, to add more life into my house, I already have birds, which I also got few weeks ago, but I think fishes gives peace of mind, and good source of relaxation, anyway..

tomorrow I'm getting my fish tank, I only need to choose what kind of fishes I should get.

any advices??

actually I have no experince at all, but I have freinds with good experince

There are many types of fish. Your choice should depend on what you like. Best to go with your friends to the shop, look at the fishes and get their advice.

You also need to decide what kind of set up you would like. For freshwater aquariums, you can have bare tanks, planted tanks, rock and/or wood tanks. That will affect the kind of fishes you should get.

Bare tanks are easy but boring.

Planted tanks can be really beautiful, but the learning curve is steep, there are more equipment to invest in and can cause much heartache if you get plague by algae and poor plant growth.

Rock and/or wood tanks are in between.
