okay nevermind, i just realise i asked a really noob question.
50cm length would mean its a 1.5ft tank right? haha sorry for troubling .
Hi bros, i'm here to ask for your advices,
i have found a deal for a 2nd hand tank which has frontal curve glass
and his offering a whole tank set for 50$, meaning :
Fish Tank (L50W30H40cm)
Dolphin Top Filter
Light
Black crystal sand
the black crystal sand for me is really just an extra as i planned to use ADA aquasoil.
anyway my concern here is on the size of the tank being 50cm long,
will this affect me in the long run ?
i am asking this because, if i have plans to change to lights or increase the number of lights, would it be and issue ? Would i be able to use a 60cm light? since its common to find them.

well 1ft = 30cm.
as for the deal, would have to depend on the size of the filter and watt of the lights.
whats the weight of the sand anyway?
Actually im more concern about the cost, considering that i probably would not be using the OHF and the light might be insufficient for the plants and i would have to get a new light set. thus
can anyone tell me how much would a new and second hand front curve 1.5/2 ft tanks cost?
new 1.5ft can cost around $20 i got my 2nd hand 2ft tank for $10.
The price will also depend on the light he's offering. I suggest that you look at the set first before confirming your interest. No harm looking. As long as you find the price is within your comfort level and worth it, go ahead. Value is a subjective thing.
Regards,
Randy
The tank condition seems to be fine but the light is just a single tube which is meant for normal aquarium lighting and not planted in my opinion.

here's the pic, as for the OHF, i mite either be selling it or convert it to a filter which can be used in my "pond"
i shall message him about the model of the light i guess
Most people use 2 feet lights for 50cm tank.
Even I'm using it for my 35cm tank.
No worries on that.
