I used to buy a batch of cardinal tetra from them and only one died for about 4months. I also don't think that their stocks are delicate. What fish did you get from them?
I actually find their stock really hardy as opposed to being delicate. Survival rates are very high for all the fish I've gotten from them

Bought 3 different lots of fishes from them over past 6 months and 100% survival rate (touch wood)

I just bought some T. hengeli (Hengel's Rasbora) over the weekend. 5 Out of 20 died. There are other fishes in the tank and they are fine. Also bought some Otos, Zebra Danios and Sparkling Gouramis, but they are all fine.
I guess it could that batch. The rest of the Hengels are doing fine and showing superb colour after a day.
Besides that, either they or their supplier missed up the stock. There were Harlequins mixed in the tank.

Quite sometime ago bought 100pcs of boraras. All died within a week. Not sure why, they looked pretty healthy to me without any visible disease. I've also purchased many other fishes like plecos, tetras but did not encounter any problem with them.

i brought a few NTT from seaview but only 1 left swimming in my tank while the rest just died on me less then a week i brought them. My friend also faceing the same case which his NTT died on him also within a week.![]()
Bought Striata Botia x 4 pieces. No white spot. Zero death. They were naughty though and finished all the snails in my tank !

You can't blame the LFS if the fishes died a few days after purchased. There are many reasons why the fishes may have die.

My bulk purchase Cardinals from them didn't die off. But they are certainly poor in colouration even after 4 months growth compared to Gan's and Ben's. Their Green Neons however are excellent.
Other than their Cardinals, I find their fish to be of good quality and good survival.

My cardinals from seaview have always been excellent, both in health and in colouration. I've bought probably close to 500 over the past year or so for various tanks and I've had a very high survival rate and they are all very brightly coloured and growing fast in the tanks (except for the ones that turned into altum food =( )

I just found that the clementi stock has better colouration and is more stable for the neon and cardinals. The blue alexrodis are really delicate fish so I can't fault seaview!
I have good experience with C328 cardinals too when I order in bulk and they help me get straight in the bag from supplier. For those netted from their tanks, I've had mixed results...some survive some die by the batch

i think Seaview's fish are fine. I had purchased Sundadanio axelroldi and Boraras Uropthalamoides from them before and mortality rates were fairly normal. But Gan's fishes are excellent. Their Rummy Noses are simply brilliant, very strong and good coloration. Personally, I do not like buying fishes from C328.

be kind! =)

A few of the Rasboras I bought a few weeks ago died. But the survivors has developed much better colouration than when they were at the shop. The sparkling gouramis are doing fine. Except one which was placed in a different tank and I can safely say it's due to my tank conditions.
Most of us are just pointing out our experience with this one shop. What about your purchases from other shops? Have you experienced any die off? I think we need to balance against the average situation.
Are the fishes that died sensitive or fragile species? Were they put in the same tank as the other fishes you bought at the same time from the same shop? What fishes in the same tank but from different shops. So many factors.
I think so far, there is no conclusive evidence or even anecdotal pattern to suggest that Seaview's livestock are more delicate than other shops'.

Altums are known to be sensitive. Bought 5 pcs from SeaView last week. These are kept in their "out of bound" area. They will net the amount you want - strictly no selection.
To-date (maybe still early days) still healthy, swimming and eating.

Actually in all fairness, I have bought fishes and shrimps from them and I had no problem aside from the odd one or two deaths. I do notice one major issue with bulk buy is that the water they collect are not added with any anti-stress solution for the transport, which might attribute to their death. This is my own observation and experience.
