    Cheers to all Member and Guests,

    Beginner to the world of Aquarium,

    Tanks - 1.
    18" * 9" * 9" with some goldies in it.

    Planned to Upgrade to a bigger tank.
    36 * 18 * 18
    already have the tank and on a hunt for suggestions on suitable substrates and lighting system for a medium scaled planted tank.

    Suggestions are welcome.

    Hi.. I suggest Aquaclay substrate from germany which is available in Bangalore. Very fertile substrate with hell lot of iron and minerals helpful if you keep plants. Dont forget to add fertilizer substrate mix also with it. For lighting you need to have fluorescent T5 x 2 (boyu or aquazonic make) if you are planning to have plants, also drift wood helps grow some variety of plants on it which soil dont support like Anubia.. rare precious plant.. Java fern .. moss .. these kind of plants
