Bioplast donated 4 packs of mosses, two of which were Fountain Moss and the other 2, Monoselenium tenerum. The rest were taken from my tanks and they include Taiwan Moss, Singapore Moss, Flame Moss, Loma Fern and Spiky Moss.
I had expected at first that after the talk by the professor, Ms Serena and I will do our demos, one at a time. But the professor wanted us to carry out the demos together which resulted in a bit of a confusion. If I had carried out my demo separately, I would have made an announcement that a free pack of moss would be given to anyone who buys either of the professor's moss books. I would have also told the audience about the different types of mosses that were given out for free. That way, those who know about the various aquarium mosses would have gotten what they want. But it turned out to be something like a lucky draw, with people going home with mosses they don't really know about.

Hi Mr Loh
Yes, agreed with feide that your scape looked simple and nice - I'm sure if you have left it to grow out, it would turn out to be a beautiful green moss tank. Gave me some ideas too as I am planning a second tank- low tech, so looking at mosses.
Didn't manage to get any packs of moss, but no worries - I'm sure there will be other chances. I was the one who asked you about tying fountain moss and how long you had grew the "mini pellia" (now called loma fern, right?) in your tank. Have seen Bioplast's moss tanks - they are certainly eye catching! Have tried java and taiwan moss, so am thinking of trying other mosses for my new tank.
Agreed that it would have been helpful if you had the chance to describe the mosses given out, which were mostly aquatic. Some people were just grabbing them as they were free, which I agree they were entitled to, but am unsure if it is of any use to them. But I was glad that a lady asked you about the packs of mosses she got, which she returned to you (not useful) when she noticed that they were aquatic mosses as she was after non-aquatic ones.
The talk was definitely entertaining. I am sure all of us learnt something from it and enjoyed ourselves. Thank you!
