Cover your filter inlet with a sponge or something?

To lower pH can use peat.

bro your PH is high for a crs tank... and if you want to breed them you need to cover the pump inlet with a fine sponge.

co2 injection will lower ph slightly. resins.

i hoped that your ada stones will not leech minerals into your water making the GH too high.

Re: Help My CRS Tank Please

use GH test kits to test GH.. but best is to test water before you add the stones in and then afterwards. but too late now since your rocks are inside. Measure GH of your original water source in a seperate container, then add a few of your rocks into your container then measure the GH of the water from that container a few days later. See if GH still the same or not.

    thanks for the detailed explanation

    http://www.mizuworld.com/product/detail/884

based on Mizu World, Kurokinryu Stone does not affect water parameters and is safe for freshwater aquarium use.

    hopefully its true

    cheers

    Very neat and nice setup.
With the new soils, your PH should be lower than 6.8

Why not you try remove some ADA stones, i suspect the stone may cos PH

Throw away??? Can throw to me instead? Not throw at me k?

Remember some lfs guy told me they are not too worried about the stone affecting the ph of the water and the new soil will pull back down the ph. Anyway i had never tried that as many bros did say some rocks do have effects on ph swing. Other then artificial rocks, any idea which other rocks would not affect ph???

Do a water change with reverse osmosis. Mesure Kh. Lower Kh = Lower PH.
More tap water = more kh = more PH.

    moreover,
when your plants grow, they produce more CO2 at night and pH down
