    This fish has since left the world, but just curious because I never get to find out... and also to share pic at the same time.. any idea male or female? how to ID? Thanks!

    Strange.. that was what the uncle told me what i got it as a baby fish at Biotope.. maybe some miscommunication no wonder i always wonder why it look different from the other pics i see online :P

    Also, if I recall correctly, elizabethae tends to have the two dots on the lateral line (may be subdued in males and those in aggression mode but it is still obvious if you look out for it).

    Doesn't look like an elizabethae.
    I think A.elizabethae shouldn't have yellowish tips on the ventral fins. Also the first few dorsal fins for elizabethae are extended.

    These guys are definitely right. If its a fry from biotope, its should be the Apistogramma "Rotkeil". I don't remember seeing elizabethae fries at biotope.

    Yes remember I bought in Jan 09, and the uncle really told me they are elizabethae. Maybe some misunderstanding bah.

    I think they label wrongly.. Because everytime if got any breeding pair breed they just put there "有小鱼" got small fish hehe...
