Great DIY chiller![]()
Today is Final update of my post. I moved all my shrimp out, and gonna set the other new one.
here are some pic, hopfully everyone like it
are they beautiful? :P (unfortunately my sis kill some of them by toxic)
Nice and green, your moss are lovely!
Is that willow moss I see together with the fissiden in the last pic? Nice!
I am using a HOF for my shrimp tank too, mind to share what media you put inside your HOF?
is your spring like inox pipe bought ready-made ?
I like your tank, the fissiden and moss are fantastic!
Really envious of your tank.
thanks allI'm happy to see some comment here
hi feide; that is the mix of fissden and willow moss, the HO Filter do a pretty good job to clear for my 50L tank but I have to add one more external Atman 3336.
the media inside that HOF are just small Larva rocks - very cheap ..
.hi limz; I told them make it like spring.
hee hee, thanks NDC
nice and mossy..![]()
cool your DIY chiller
I was just reading your post. Very nice updates and love the scape!
Hi Jiang.. I hope you are still active here so you can answer my question hehe..
May I know how you managed to get the mini fiss to grow and spread on the gravel like that? I'm sure you didnt use any wood or rocks in the mini fiss foreground as they are growing super straight and even slopes up on the left side perfect to the shape of the soil..
I'd really love to try this out in my shrimp tank.. Could you please shed some light on how you did it.. Thank you!
nice tank you have there!![]()
Unfortunately not =(
He's been inactive for a while now.. Does anyone here know or have an idea of how he did this?
Fir u can use fissiden during DSM anywhere to attach to rocks, substrate probably yes to the big granules one , not the powdered soil
once they attach on to rocks after a week, pour water carefully, some will end up floating or detached
they attach well to porous rocks like lava but not to seiryu
After they lush and grow new light green sprouts, you get the nice fissiden feel!

wahwah wah wah!
i'll try that on my cube!
do you think they'll grow this well with just LED and no CO2?
I tried on LED light .. not much progress.. DIY CO2 should be fine with abit of flourish
had better result using high light but that will encourage algae
cooler water has a advantage also.
Your cube is already occupied .. how do u do DSM?
Btw Fir, my as planned seiryu filled tank pH is 6.5 (yes!) GH 15 (Oh No) !
