wow... it's pretty. share where to get it when you find out ya?
Does anyone see Eleocharis montevidensis? It doesn't grow plantlets at its tips like vivipara . It propagate by runners. So it should be easier to handle.

Runners present a different problem though. That said, I'd give it a try if I can get some.![]()

Just cut the runner weekly, that should take care of it. E.vivipara on the other hand very messy unless you comb everyday after shower

E. vivipara sp [the thicker one] is not messy for long periods. All separated nicely. When the time comes just trim close to the base.
I have a problem with runners as faced before with Vallis nana. It won't stay put! haha.

yeah Vallis nana, the root is long cannot any how pull. Also it is background plants thus cutting the runner is much more difficult, blocked by other plants in front of it.
On second thought, this plant is also background plants so might have same problem as Vallis nana
I saw Mr Yee E.vivipara, that one really-really thick. Is there 2 different species of E.vivipara?
There really is two very different types. One softer one like in Amano's pictures and another stiffer one like you saw at Yee's that William also has. Looks just like E. montevidensis above but will grow 'baby tips' when mature.
