    but If I remember correctly, hairgrass buds look different, well maybe because of the macro. Try take the whole plant photo.

    My company has those growing all around it's ground with water coming out from the ground naturally (what you called that type of water anyway?). But worried of the super high iron content, dont dare to try planting it in my tank.

    Ground water?? LOL..

    I bought this at a fish farm. It was submersed with its tips sticking out of the water. The pics you see its actually from my low tech tank. No CO2, just GEX soil and lapis over it. For lighting I just use an IKEA lamp with Philips Tornado Cool Daylight bulb (6500K). The plants seems to be doing well.
