have you check out the price for each led?
it is costly. farnell sells them at >$20 each.
other than leds, you'll need
a) power supply of >264 watts
b) metal-core printed circuit board (pcb) to mount the leds
c) heat sink and fans

I also need to connect all these LEDs to power socket.
Pls advise.. Thanks..

For small tank, i dont see why we need so high-output LED. i got DIY LED light for my 2ft & 1ft tank using normal LED. It will be cheaper![]()

have you tried the setup you suggested?

Does anyone here know where to source for normal White 5mm LED. Manage to get 1 source at Sim Lim Tower at good price, but always mix with other colour or of different size.
Thanks
