Great! It's a 3 feet, right? (to ranmasatome's question)
Wah... all ADA....
Do keep us updated with more pictures of "calmness" when it grows out.
Would love to see how it turns out.

You finally rescaped that tank!!!!
Shape is still the same from the previous one? No?
Prefer the slope from the previous one...
This time round, when it mature, remind me to go take a picture for you to submit!
Else it is a waste like your last tank.
Bro wacky, nice and refreshing scape! Just thought the woods are a bit bare... why not tie with some mosses?

Why F. nobilis?? why not something else?
What do you suggest?
I still have some balanced rare mini java fern(germany).
Should I used them?

As requested by masochistic Nick-
He wants a frank assessment so I'm not going to hold back-
Overall it's a decent tank but Nick's not after decent. He wants a 'happening' tank and also to pick up more tips.
Cue-Beethoven 5th symphony opening bar-
1. Hardscape choice. The wood lacks power. The positioning is not attractive.
They're either lying down or pointing straight up. All at right angles. I would either choose nicer ones or try using plants like mosses to break up the straight lines. You can try adding some nice rocks on the back horizon to simulate distance. This would enhance depth. I would also look into small rocks propping up some of the wood lying down.
2. This triangle scape is one year old but the plant mass is not at the desired level yet. I estimate it's only 60% capacity. Plants filling up the back and the benefit of more slope will address this. Some of the plants are too straight and highlights the straightness of the middle branches. I think some branchy moss like Spiky tied onto the straight pieces or a type of branchy stem plant like Myriophyllum mattogrossense would be have the effect of breaking up the straight sticks.
3. I feel the plants are not in perfect harmony. Choices choices! There's too many types of plants in different areas like a Dutch scape when this scape is more of a jungle scape. What is nicer is an overall spread of larger thickets of plants.
I'd see about reducing the species that doesn't work and let the species that complement each other be more dominant.
Ok Nick-don't feel bad- I think you can do this in time for X'mas or CNY.Go for it!!!

You mean the wood are way too straight? You mean I need to tie more plants on the wood to break the straightness?
I find the centre piece a sore thumb.
When you said add more rocks in the back horizon, you mean on the right hand side? I will take the advise to try to prop up some of the wood.

The tank is only 1 month old. I did a major rescape as I totally neglected the tank after I show you last time. The tank was in a dammed bad shape then. Irwin got proof of it and he said he gonna blackmailed me on that... haha..
I was hopping for the ludwigia arcuta to fall in front of the wood to break the straightness.

What do you suggest? I was toying the idea to clear out the rotala vietnam and let the ludwigia arcuata to form up the background?

No hard feeling for me as frank comments to help one grow in the area of aquascaping. Haha.
Will let the tank grow abit me before trying to do some changes as you suggested.
Time to look for some new wood. (Lorba or Valice, any suitable wood for me? =p)

you want to wait for L. acuata to cover what?? i think might be a while leh... being that it is such a leggy plant.
Hi Nick,
I think this is a larger version of triangle layout that you may find helpful as a guide. The growth is very nice especially the crypts.

There's many types of plants but it seems to be in harmony because of the larger thickets.
