One of my tetras jumped out of the water last night. I did not see it but it was lying on the ground when I spotted it. This is the first time for my tetra after one of my platies jumped abt 2 weeks back.
    Anyone know why they jumped?
    Please help!

Mine jumps too. Very often when water conditions are not good. Your water filled up near to the brink of your tank could also increase the chances of jumps.

Try and make a length of acrylic sheet with 2 inches width to cover the top front of your tank. You can get it in Granges road, cut to measure. One of the shopunits beside City Centre Town Council or anywhere convenient for you.

IMO, if u suspect the water condition is the cause then better perform water change. Preventing them from jumping by using a cover does not help the fishes much and will not solve the problem.

i think they see insects at the lights... they jump and try to catch... my cardinal died because of that i concluded... my congo jumped higher, but they always fall back into my tank... that might be a possibility...[] []
