would algae affect the living 4 fishes?

hi, i got a stone tat is covered wif plenty of algae
on the surface from my previous unused tank. i didn't
remove it b4 i transfer into a new tank cos expect my
2 new apple snails will eat it up. so, does it matter
4 the water condition or the fishes later?

i think algae affects only human, eye soar.

If not too much to the extends of impeding the ecology, fish will not bother.
