    hi

A few days back I refilled my co2 canister.

The refilling method was on the spot, at a shop near lavender. Upon request, the uncle checked the regulator and canister for any faults and found none.

However since i reinstalled it, I noticed that the bubbles per second (BPS) repeatedly drop from 3 BPS to 0 BPS over the course of 1 hour. Today, I also noticed the pressure dropped to 80.

Despite not having a needle valve, prior to refilling it, the output was constant at 3 BPS.

    I read a similar post:

which suggests that perhaps my problem is with a faulty regulator. Any way I can easily test this? Should i return to the shop that performed the refill?

Being relatively new to CO2 canisters, i thought i'd check with you all on this issue and will appreciate any advise you have to offer.

    Re: co2 canister problem

To test if regulator is leaking, turn the main valve on with the Regulator valve shut. Regulator should read 1000 for full tank. turn the main valve shut. If regulator is leaking, the gauge should be 0 in few minutes or up to 2 hours. Sometimes if the o ring is not placed properly, there is no proper seal

    hi cross
thanks for your advise. When I checked today, the main valve remains open regardless of whether it is set to open or close position.

I.e. if i close the valve tightly, and open the regulator, gas is released. I guess this signals that i should return the unit to the shop that performed the top up tomorrow.

I suspect the O ring is missing. Or it was accidentally left out when topping up.

Maybe you would like to show us your CO2 system setup. I cannot imagine how a CO2 setup without needle valve works.

I dont think the issue is with the regulator but instead should be the O ring. Do go back and check with the refiller
