I am not an expert but shrimps not having colour is either a problem of bad genes or a problem of not feeling well / illness. A picture and a few more informations about your tank set up, water parameter etc pp might be helpfull for advice.

My sakura shrimplets are already 1.5 months old already and are almost 1-1.5 cm in length.. However, the shrimplets are not gaining colour and only some of them have a tinge of red at their cheek area...The sakura shrimps i bought from ARIA are of the same size but are already exhibiting full red in their exoskeleton.. But my colony seems healthy and are constantly breeding..I have 2 pregnant females now..NO fan nor chiller
Diet: Mosura specialty red shrimp food
Hikari Crab Cuisine
Mosura Bioplus
Any expert advice please?
Stress? Is your tank next to printer or anything that might cause vibrations? Or next to TV/Radio that causes noise?
Sakuras are higher grade Red Cherry Shrimps isn't it? Who ever says, Sakura will only breed out Sakuras?
A Mosura CRS (SSS) can even breed out S+ or SS grade CRS. It is not necessary that a SSS grade CRS will definitely breed out ALL SSS grade shrimplets.
However, if your Sakura is not breeding out any Sakura offspring, there could a few factors shared by fellow shrimp hobbyist above, water condition, stress, gene, etc. I believe there odd to be at least some Sakura grade from good Sakura parent lineage
my tank is standing alone on a table..there are no vibrations..however i'm using a underwater filter of eheim pickup..think it may be the one causing the vibrations..can it be the problem of lighting? cause i seldom on the light..only an hour or two when i come home from work..and i think they are not under stress...feeding and moulting as normal..the colors of sakura bought from aria are not fading either..i guess its left with the genes that might be the problem..hmm..hope the future offspring of my new sakuras have better genes...thanks for all your advice! they are really helpful.
Bro CRS,
I do culling of my Sakura offsprings, those that I deemed not red enough.
I put them in my 4-footer where some became fishfood for my Sparkling Gouramis and Apistos.
I noticed some of those that survived actually developed better colouration.
I don't know why this is so but I'm all too happy to reunite them with their long-lost family.
By the way, they were separated when about 1cm in size; to confirm their inferior colour and to give them a fighting chance in my 4-footer.
Maybe you could monitor yours; they might be late developers.
Warning: All posts are based on personal experience with no creditable validation whatsoever...
I don't think that vibration would cause the problem. It could be due to your water parameter or late developer as mentioned by naturalmystic.![]()
Crank up the lights intensity and use 10,000k light, it will increase the red.

oh..Alright...so i guess it would be the lighting..cause regular lighting may help condition the shrimp's metobolic rate and help keep it constant hence developing better color?
put them in slightly alkaline waters. will intensify the red.
