brand of gravel

I am thinking of buying gravel for a planted tank, any recommendation on which brand of gravel to buy?

Lone star Beach Sand.(Those that come in heavy duty paper bags, 22kg)
Or the more expensive alternative, Dennerle quartz gravel. Comes in brown,green and black, I think.

I would like to have a light coloured base, i.e. light brown.

Is the lone star sand light coloured?

Eerr, I'm not too sure myself, about the brands, but I believe the one that comes in the 22kg bag is light coloured. Besides sand, it's the lightest coloured sand{beach sand) I've seen. So I guess that should be a safe bet. Oh yes, the sand I mentioned is defintely suitable for planting.

Hi I'm using both lonestar and aquadecor. Both are very simliar except aquadecor is lighter in colour. As I've changed to Dennerle, the AquaDecor is not in used anymore. If you want the 10kg from me, pm me
