why do you say its an "epiphyte plant"?
I have 50 Gallon CO2 injected tank with 216 Watts light. This plant has been growing on three places on the rocks in the tank over the past four months or so. I tried to replant one into the substrate and it melted away.
Any help in IDing this would be appreciated .

why I don't do garden hybrids and aquarium strains: natural species is a history of Nature, while hybrids are just the whims of Man.

Not attached to substrate?

Corrected heading anyway. The term epiphyte seems to mean much more than I thought it does![]()

actually I thought its the reverse, it simply means growing upon another plant. anyway I modified your title.
