NUS internal reactor ... cool...![]()
this is a great internal reactor. Good work!
Haha thanks, but im feeling of changing the bottle to something smaller. its abit big imo.
Will be introducing some oto's into the tank first before bringing in the other fishes. and it appears i have baby red ramshorn snails that came together with the plants. will keep watch to make sure they dont increase too high in number.
hehe this container looks familar... it is a gift from NUS with highlighter inside..
nice work on the DIY reactor..
Yeap. The one with those tiny highlighters which are extremely annoying to use and run out of ink just as quickly =P. Dumped the highlighters and modified it. haha![]()
nice work on the diy reactor. maybe you can add a bio ball inside to increase surface area?
Hi Xianghao, thats a great suggestion =) is it possible to purchase just a single bioball?.
Also fellow bro's, my tank still remains slightly cloudy though i have done several water change. this is really starting to annoy me so i am hoping that someone could give me some pointers. I highly suspect this cloudiness is due to the Amazonia II that i am using. Was considering to use seachem clarity in the tank but i fear it could make matters worst. Or could it possibly be because of my filter? There are some views that say EDEN501 is underpowered for a 2ft tank and much more suitable for a 1.5ft tank.
Do advice.
haha. i have no idea if they sell it singularly. as for your cloudy water, there may be a slight possibility that the contents of your DIY CO2 could siphon into your tank. you may want to have a bubble counter to be an intermediate between your tank and your bottles?
Hmm, i dont think its the CO2, cause the yeast mixture level is pretty low in the bottle and also, theres a check-valve to prevent the possibility of a siphoning action... ill just have to be patient and wait it out.
Currently i have added some fauna into my tank :
5 Yamato Shrimpgs
2 Oto
7 neon tetras
2 cardinal tetras
3 male guppies
1 bumble bee goby
1 endler
one quite a number of annoying snails that came along with the plants![]()
nice setup..
