Hi Kel, hahaah, long time already huh..

I still want to set up the marine tank leh, but seriously no time for the past 6 months or so. Nowadays my life back to normal a bit, soo I maybe back to haunt you! []

Any new developments or new skimmers in the marine scene? Long time never keep up already

now got alots of skimmers.. u can visit www.eaquanature.com
depends on ur buget..n the type of skimmer u wan, needle wheel, venturi, etc.n of cos size of ur tank

for $200 or less u can get a prizm skimmer. not a very efficient skimmer. soem ppl love it while some hate it. one of my fren told me tt the foam production isnt consistant

u can olso get a schuran(one of the top skimmers in germany). it uses a venturi valve to drawn air in, jus liek tunze skimmers(olso another gd brand). smallest model starts at $400.

tunze skimmer can b bght from reefworld at harlus or supreme at seletar. i m using tunze n find it very. price is olso ok. i forgot the price now liao

if u got high budget go for a H&S or deltec skimmer. H&S is the best skimmer in germany while Deltec is the best in northern europe. both H&S n deltec uses a needle wheel impeller cut air into smaller bubbles. its one of the most efficient way of skimming as the wattage of the pump is very little.
H&S can get from sealife.price starts from $600++
deltec can get from eaquanature. tt wan will cost a leg ahahhhaha

har.. i DIY my own skimmer for my seahorse tank.. hahaha. coz me nothing.. hahaha.. anyway law, me is studying for my exams now.. kinda busy.. can't help u out now.. after my exams?? say after the 26th may??? give u more time to save up.. hahaha.. coz i demand a treat after that.. hahaha..

Spiff, Thanks for all the info man! I heard that too much skimming is no good as it leach out even the natural minerals? So I shouldn't get a too power skimmer right?

u can never over skim.. dun worry.. it is good to get a good skimmer so that if u want to upgrade, it still can be used..
