Got to emphasize that there is a fine line for plants and crs. w/c is done with conditioned water to same ph and temp and then slowly introduced per w/c. As its a 3ft tank, the volume also allows for more margin as compared to smaller volume. So far no casualties in this tank (*fingers crossed) My only problem is the gH that will be very high by the end of the week if i do not carry out partial change midweek. Plants are not as lush green as before but still maintaining the growth though slow. Photoperiod also have to be adjusted for the plants to cope.

I also have 3ft tank & dosing Wonder-Gro. I've noticed my GH also become higher. Initially and my tap water got GH of 5 and now become 9~11. Not sure ADA soil or Wonder-Gro make GH increase? Your HC and Blyxa japonica are amazing while mine are melting. Will try to follow your dosing regime, WC & Photoperiod.

Wondergro macro increases gh by quite abit. Do note that every tank is unique Melting could be caused by high temp or low co2

My CO2 can't be low coz it's like 5~7 bps. :P since I don't have any fauna yet. Or coz it's too high? I think it should be high temp. Mine is like avg 27~28 deg C. I heard that they can get shock when changing one tank to another due to pH and water hardness differences. Now I only left 2 or 3 sole survivors. Hopefully they can root down and lush grow like yours.

To me this is one of the nicest tank I have seen. Now more inspired then ever to start a Iwagumi.
Decided on planted tank for now
