Water turn cloudy everytime i do water change. what cause that?

I notice when i dose EI and do the water change weekly, the water will turn cloudy in the night when i off the light.

it been like for 3time this happen, Afternoon water change and off light around 7pm. when i switch on the light to check after 3-4hour, the water is found to be cloudy.

I follow the advice to clean filter once a month but this still happen.

Using internal boyu filter with sponge and some eheim bio ball.

around 25-45% water change

what is causing the cloudy effect after water change?thanks alot

i try different ways before.

i cut the sponge into 2piece and when clean filter, i used the tank water to wash the part and only 1sponge. i do this weekly and was told to clean filter 1time a month. so now only change water and let the filter as it is.

Either ways the water still turn cloudy, i was thinking could it due to the ehiem bio ball too? if i remember correctly, the cloudy issue happen after i place in the bio ball.

Do you clean the bio ball? If you do not clean it and turn on the pump,debris stuck in the bio ball can come out with the water current too.

I only have that happen when I change out too much water. Try doing a smaller water changes. 45% is a little too much in my opinion. That could change the water parameters too much if what comes out of your faucet is changes over time in you tank by the wood, rocks etc affecting ph and hardness levels. If I have cloudy water it's usually gone again within 24 to 48 hours.
