nope they can grow without fertilisers unless you want to speed up the growing process by using CO2.

Depend on your light. If you have high light then CO2 and fertilizer become necessary

high intensity, watt per gallon. The higher the light intensity, plant will grow faster and that where nutrient and CO2 require to support their grow. If not their grow will be stun and come to worst algae attack.

ok my wattage is 20W ~40-45 galleons.

crap litres. means ~10-12 galleons. haha.
2W/galleon

what is your height of your tank.
Sufficent lighting is 1cm = 1 watt
high light = Example : 55w for a 26cm high tank.

does not work that way. I hope you didn't expect 120x60x60cm sufficient with only 60Watt

ok i'm super blur now. 2 feet tank 40L. how much is sufficient???

hmm i think i posted in my other thread but yeah some of my plant leaves are turning yellow. they look like carpet grass of some sort. any remedies??
