hi guys, not really sure where should this be, but i am new to shrimps. so ya, its here. questions is, can shrimps be housed with a single fighting fish. i have a 1ft x 0.5ft base area tank..height is roughly 20 to 25cm. its a little planted with bog wood. so i thought a blue half moon F.Fish would look nice with some shrimps..most likely Blue tigers or red cherry shrimps.
will post a pic of the tank when i am done with all the planting

Your shrimps will be a good meal for your fighting fish.

Done it before in a community tank. Was fine for some months until one fine day the fighting fish decided he didn't like the faces of the shrimps, and bit off their heads.

My fighting fish also ate my cherry red shrimps in my 12 litre tank the moment I introduced the shrimp. Then it was calm for a while until one of them grew too red to be ignored. Although the fish is not able to swallow the whole shrimp, it will bite them to pieces.
