anything, how about spiky moss i have seen it around...
Hi, i have never grown moss before and plan to do so in my 1.5ft shrimp tank that will start up soon . There will be no chiller for the tank and will be in a room with aircon at night. During the day temp should be about 28 degrees.
My questions are, which mosses
Can sort of carpet the front?
Be tied to driftwood?
Grow in clumps like bushes?
Also can please includ where is the best place to purchase
Thanks jiajuen

Spiky moss should fit the bill. It grows in small clumps / bushes in my tank.
You can try tying them on drift wood but they do not attach themselves to the wood.
You can also try mini java moss, quite nice and they do carpet the foreground. They will attached themselves to wood readily. I saw them at NA sometime back, you can try checking with Mr Chan.
will spiky attach themself to wire mesh?

JJ
carpet: you can try spiky moss or X'mass moss. Both moss will gro side way first before start to grow up. Spiky will not attach themself to wire mesh, X'mass does.
driwftwood: any moss will do
clump: US fissiden, will clump round-round like a ball.
