    Um, it's unnatural for crayfish to lose their limbs, unless they got into a nasty territorial fight, or were victims of an attack by a larger fish or some other animal. It could also be due to disease or bad water conditions.

    Or... it's just that the crayfish lost the pincers during moulting.

    Ouch, sorry to hear that. It was probably dying of some disease, or the water quality was just bad. If you're buying another one, do get a water test kit.

    oh okay i still haf my white lobster. so for my water my ph should be around how much?

    They tend to prefer alkaline water but neutral pH of around 7.0 is good enough. They benefit from having a calcium source in the water, for good shell growth. Those mineral things they sell for shrimp keeping is quite good for crayfish too.
