where to buy : co2 regulator, reactor

I'm from outside singapore.
i will come to singapore in few weeks. i want to buy co2 regulator and co2 reactor for my aquascape tank.

ANS - CO2 Regulator (Standard Guage)
ISTA - Max Mix CO2 Reactor (M)

i can find them in online store aquaspotworld.com and mizuworld.com.
But i prefer real store, where can i find those items in singapore's store with cheap price or same price?
i prefer north singapore.

is it safe to buy online at aquaspotworld and mizuworld?

If you choose to buy online, you have no control over what you are getting. It is more convenient since they do delivery to your door step though.

Would your friend be at Woodlands? Sembawang? Yishun? Serangoon? Hougang? Choa Chu Kang? Bukit Panjang, Marsiling? Bukit Batok?

You see, north is quite big, you might want to pin point the location if your friend is not very good at sourcing the equipments. Thereafter, the rest can help you to locate a shop closer to your friend's location, before he proceeds.

If it cost your friend, it will cost you too. =)

Will you have some way to refill the CO2 canisters with food grade CO2 when you're back in Indonesia?

Because I don't think any airline will let you check in a pressurized CO2 Canister.

I've not had any personal experience with Aquaspotworld, but many of the forumers here have bought from Mizuworld with no issues.

Nature Aquarium is usually the first place people visit for CO2 setups. Another shop is Bioplast at Boon Keng, near Boon Keng MRT.

Before you ask your friend to get you the items, in particular the regulator, please check the thread size of the cylinder head (part on the cylinder to attach the regulator), just in case your cylinder in Indonesia has a different thread size.

I'm not sure how to measure the thread size, but you can use several nuts to see which one fits. I remember I had to use a size 32 spanner to remove my regulator from the cylinder.

You can probably bring the cylinder to a hardware store to measure the thread size. I remember there was a gauge of sorts to measure the thread size. Diameter of the attaching point is important too.

If your cylinder is the standard aquarium type, like the ones we have here, there should be no issue on fitting. Fitting properly is important, because if the thread size is incompatible, you can damage both items, which will require re-threading later on.

hmmm...how about considering whether you want a electronic or manual regulator?

Price wise, you only get a rough guide. It still depends on the make, supplier, retail price. I really not good at this, but got experience people to help me in the first place. I use manual regulator with a bubble counter. Rest of the fittings would be hand design by myself after I got the stuffs.

Actually it would be better if you go down personally and check the shop out, they should have some options for you to choose from

Blue Whale, all regulators are manual? the solenoid is the electronic component that makes it electronic?

Generally, I would only recommend regulator without solenoid if it comes with a fine tune valve (For non branded ones)

ic. I got experience person to do at 1st set up. So I do not know how is it call for electronic one but ever saw it in operation before in few of the LFS which also include QianHu and the Koi Farm beside it.

btw, the guy is in Indonesia, so he is getting his friend to help him to buy so cannot personally go down and check it out.

this is not may first experience using co2 system.
i am going to add 1 more new aquarium for aquascape.
i have bought alloy co2 cylinder with indonesia standar co2 valve (cylinder head).

because of may last experience with cheap regulator, i had killed so many fishes.
i want use a better regulator but also cheap

only simple and standar regulator with better quality.
i heard that ANS is good product.

so will i have problem with fitting my co2 cylinder with singapore's regulator?
