anybody Can give some advice?
Im not quite sure where to put this post correct me if im wrong.
I had four male neon rainbows waiting to be put in my 80L planted for quite some time. This morning i found one rainbow had been sucked up into the pipe of my HOF. Then i noticed one of them had dropsy. Removed dead one and quarantined dropsy one.... = to two male rainbows. Not sure how the rainbow got sucked up into the small pipe
Now i only have 2 male neon rainbows that im going to quarantine for a week before transfer to main tank. With the stocking i have now i can place about four rainbows. Im afraid of the aggression these two may have in the main tank
Can i just place the two rainbows in the tank or do i need to get more males or females? To balance aggression and keep them happy?
Please can someone give me advice !!!! Also issit safe for me to place the two rainbows in my main tank without quarantine.
Cheers,
JJ

It is good that you have the discipline to quarantine your fishes before adding them to your main tank. Many including myself do not do that... only to end up with dire consequences. Luck runs out eventually.
So, keep them quarantined. Dropsy is usually fatal, and you really do not want your whole tank to get it. Search the web for appropriate quarantine periods.
I'm not familiar with the fish, so I can't comment about their aggression.
Vincent - AQ is for everyone, but not for 'u' and 'mi'.
Why use punctuation? See what a difference it makes:A woman, without her man, is nothing.
A woman: without her, man is nothing.
So dropsy can be transfered to other fish
I keep my some fish quarantined as i had bad experience with diseases when intro wihtout quarantine

JJ
Perhaps you should check the condition of your qurantine tank. Dropsy usually occurs due to poor tank maintainance. Might have been better off for the fish to be dumped straight into the main tank.
