    As the title suggests, i am wondering wether a 13 watt PL is enough for a tank 30cm (L) x 16cm (B) x 20cm (H) 9.6L, 2.4Gallon Iwagumi scape

Tanks i going high tech with excel as co2 source and regular fert dosing.
    Flora: HC

    Thanks

i think it will be a bit too much WPG for your tank. 13w/2.4g = 5.4WP. you might get alot of algae form very fast.

watt per gallon does not apply for small tank. For HC you might need a bit more to keep low.

I tried HC with 18W, same tank size as yours and it row tall but then again I saw people at Malaysia forum grow glosso in 1.5ft tank with only 18W and it creep. So I guess there is something else involve, light spectrum maybe.

Anyway try it with your current setup now. It certainly will grow.
