PMDD again..

Just wanted to share what I'm experimenting with.

I had this weird "staghorn" algae, and my plants stop growing and bubbling.

so today, I mixed up a batch of pmdd with

6 drops dr malick's trace element
1 teasp kno3
1 teasp kcl
1 teasp mgso4
200 ml water.

added 4 drops to my tank. viola. bubbling again. heh

I figured the weird staghorn algae is probably because I have a uv light on and that kills of any algae bloom from my 1 drop of flourish iron.

staghorn algae and bubbling aren't mutually exclusive
the likely reason for the growth of the algae is nutrient imbalance
when you add in the fert, the plants finally get food and start to bubble
i have no idea what you mean with the uv doing things to flourish iron
if you're dosing exclusively one kind of nutrient, algae is going to be a problem
that's why, imo, the pmdd is working so well for you now
