    Hi all,

First of all, many thanks to bro Joe for the beautiful pair.

They've spawned recently, and the fries are doing well with mum. I've removed the dad to another tank, after too much chasing by her. That's when I suspect they've spawned, which I never expect them to so soon..

Sorry for the lousy pic quality (taken with my handphone).

Great news! Not many guys have spawned this fella. They are actually not that difficult given the correct water parameters. So guys, give them a try too!!!

    Re: Apisto diplotaenia Spawned.

    Thanks guys.

I've never really measure the water parameter, am using ADA africana as substance & Sera peak as well. The PH should be relatively low.

This tank is located in the living room, the temp should be between 28 to 30 degree.

No special diet, just Vitabits (not too sure of the spelling) that was purchase from Biotope. Ocassional treat of Frozen BBS.

    Congrates! Tony,

You are really a master breeder....just started apisto not long - already bred this difficult one.
Not only you are a expert Tangayakan fish breeder, you also master the apisto.

    Re: Apisto diplotaenia Spawned.

There are 2 apistos that are commonly available in the overseas market that many people have kept before but i have not heard of spawnings before. At least not for 1 of them. Its the A. pausciquamis and A. mendezi. The A. pausciquamis being the most difficult. Some seasoned bros like benetay and dimas (milk) have managed to spawn the A. mendezi before but the eggs always gets eaten up or possibly infertile which also sees the female eating the eggs.
