why I don't do garden hybrids and aquarium strains: natural species is a history of Nature, while hybrids are just the whims of Man.

This big tanks of his, always anubias ferns echinodorus and mosses and all this secrecy around his approach on caring for plants, this 0 NO3 in his aquaria and virtually no fertilizing on the comments in his books. The articles in his english magazines are elementary in information and mostly advertise his products (maybe some landscape ones differ and could help). I prefer us hard working to understand the whys and hows than the myth and no content infowise but photos. This is my opinion guys.

[:0] Power...Btw, I've visited the amazing galleries at http://www.adana.co.kr/e_1.html and noticed that the background for quite a number of his setups are sky/light blue. What did he use? Are those light blue "backdrop paper" available in Singapore? Or are they just some kinda lighting effects? Really nice feeling...it's just like viewing some kinda scenery taken off National Geographic etc...

I managed to see 6 Autumn Angel. Anyone see more?

I like his style for its' balance and vibrancy but most of the setup is more of illusion because the aquascape does not last more than a week. I mean the plants would grow enough in a week or two to spoil the aquascape. The plant will need constant check and balance; Pruning is a weekly affair and may include changing new plants. Too much work.

I imagine the tank put just in one niche section of the room like in the pic, but barricaded with those red colour ropes used in banks to guide people to queue up.

Then that is grand. Like museum treasure. The tank lacks an Aro.

If you folks like that kind of wood, I have a source for loads of it. Yes, enough to do a number of tank's this size.

My 75 gallon has a similar in/out look to it using the swamp cedar that is native here in Florida.

I did not like the pendents I had some now I use a PC light bar which detracts less so from the design.

The book of ADA has the whole detail of this tank in it.

One thing Amano did with this tank vs some of the other larger tanks is wisely used Anubias, ferns, etc so the layout and maintenace will be _a lot_ easier.
One of his 5000L tanks he used a lot of stem and gloss and it did not last.

I tried some of the same things with some larger tanks and had the same problem and solution. So has Jeff S. at Aquairadesign group here in the USA.
    Lessons learned.

But that tank is whopper. I would have had it built on site.

I think for the $, a solid acrylic wall, no frame/seams would have looked better for the $. $ did not seem to be an issue here but imagine it without anything blocking the view.

The design out side of that is super. Good plant choice. This tank will stay in good shape for years to come. I am wondering about the CO2 system for the tank. How many beetles?

    Regards,
    Tom Barr

This tank need no CO2 regulator, just use the tank valve and counts by the turns[].

Aquajournal Vol 89 and 92 also feature this so called "World Largest Nature Aquarium", the tank size is 400cm x 150cm x 150cm if I am not wrong.

is it only 4 metres? that's only about 13ft, Sam Yick's is already 12 ft so not that much larger.
