isn't the flow rate of eden 501 and eheim 2211 the same? Anyway, nice nano scape.. it would be quite nice if the hc manages to carpet.. by the way perhaps you should remove the duck weed because it will block the light from the light hungry hc, which may cause the hc to grow upwards

i read that the duck weed can take in the excess nurtient and the nitrate to prevent algae that why i put them in the tank.

i will reduce the duck weed to see if my HC carpet.

Since you're injecting CO2, you're better off using a stronger lights

Your light not strong enough so your HC still climbing upwards. Try to get 3+ WPG.

if you want to use stem plants in nano tank, choose the one with smaller leaf. Otherwise it will make your tank look small.

i dose seachem Iron , phosphours , flourish and Lush Gro-mircos

i wanted to get the macros soon

    Re: Nicken Nano

I doubt that your HC melts because of high temperature of 30Deg.

My HC in my 29~30deg 1' cube tank is doing very well.

Maybe your HC is emersed form , which is not easy to convert to submersed form. Your CO2/Light/Dosing might not be in good harmony, resultiing in poor conditions for HC to convert.

I never succeeded in converting HC from emersed to submersed form even in my 26deg tank with 4x39W lighting, 4 bps CO2 24/7 and EI dosing, which every other plants in it grew like weed. However I never have any problem when I have used HC in submersed form.

Some aquarists did tried jump start the HC in a "minimal water" method. They only changed to aquarium only when the HC is thriving. I did planted the HC in my garden with great success, but I never tried to convert them before.
