Hi Addie...

Consider adding some red plants to your tank. Place it where it will help you create the much needed focal point in your tank.

The APP growth is nice..u should try to grow it all over your foreground and remove the hairgrass or plant them in an mixed fashion over the foreground...

Add some rosette plants for the background...

Thought of adding a little red plant but have not found a suitable one due to the small tank. Looking for small leaves, preferably not stem plant. Any recomendation?

As for the foreground, I was thinking of HG to replace my APP but the HG doesn't seem to grow fast enough so that I can remove the APP. Maybe I should remove the HG instead.

I also think that HG and APP don't look good in the same tank. Currently looking for a new tank to separate them.[:]

My filter is a non-branded filter. It is the type that hanging on the side glass and the water will fall like a waterfall. This is not really a recommended type for planted tank due to the possible loss of CO2. I minimised the CO2 loss it by topping up the water to the outlet level to reduce turbulent.

Since you have not get your filter yet, you can consider internal filter. In my opinion, any brand will do as long as the flowrate and the filter material are correct.
