I cant make out the 1st pix but the last 2 pix are definitely male. Nice specimen you got there.

Just picked a pair of these up, think they might both be male though. The smaller one is getting chased, so i couldnt get a good pic, but it seems these are very hard to sex. Are these two male fish?
Smaller fish (sorry for bad photo):
Bigger fish:
Going to take the smaller fish back and look for a more female looking one..hopefully they are not all males!

If I have a dollar & you have a dollar & we swap, neither is better off. BUT if I have an idea & you have an idea & we swap we are both richer

That first fish never survived, it got killed unfortuntly.
I have another, slightly more female looking fish in there now that isnt getting harassed as much, will try and get some pics.

Sorry to hear about your loss. Perhaps the best thing might be to separate the fish so that you can assess how aggressive the confirmed male is to the others. I'm not sure how patoti compares in aggression to others in the complex, but a female might be killed too.
Nonetheless, those are great looking fish. I love the unimaculata complex. I think they are the most handsome of bettas.![]()
