Re: New Shrimp to look forward in 2010

An update, I have been keeping this strains for 2 months, what interesting is it hold its color in almost all water condition, unlike black variation which is throwout from Cherry shrimps, their color fade when more of tank and most of them will never come back.

In terms of breedability, the good news is, it breeds as many as cherry, however, not all are brown and not all are dark brown, but there is a decent percentage of nice color resembles the parents.

There are 2 color variations among the chocolate shrimps, milk chocolate and dark cholcolate, I guess the names tell enough of their color.

If it is the size of Amano shrimp with long legs, your scare is not too far fetched. If it is just a dwarf shrimps with tiny legs, it is still acceptable lah.

Never fail to be amazed. I shd try sound out my boss if he will agree to let me have 3 tanks (2ft each) in the office. If he permits, maybe I can keep nicer shrimps like these.

Am going to decommission a 1ft tank soon. It's empty for about 1 month now but kept the tank going in case there are shrimplets. Maybe I can start preparing this small tank and keep some nice shrimps.

Only problem is, small tanks are so difficult to manage. I still recall I took almost half a year to finally stablize the tank last time.

Seem no need keep with chiller, i guess this based on their hardiness. As long as you keep them like Sukura, they will be fine.
