My plants are kinda shakey after 2 rescapes...LOL..used ADA aquasoil but found that it affects my ability to use the pH/KH table to find my CO2 level so tear down the tank again and relay with JBL base fert and lonestar gravel. Now I am trying to crank my CO2 into shape..20-30ppm.. Will see how it goes..no algae at the moment due to good dosing regime from Tom Barr (I did not do any testing now as I got tired of it..What I do not is large water changes of 50% then dose nutrients according to a fix tank size but needs good CO2 level to work well though.)[]

(Keeping the aquasoil for later use...perharps thinking of a apisto setup but need to get ride of my luohan...hahahahaa...I bought the bugger as a very small fish and rear it until quite big so kinda attach to it..)

I'm not sure about farms in the east...maybe can do a search..seen somebody mention ah peh?

yes ah pek is also a good place to go ( so regret to known this place after spending so much on LFS ) but seem like the reddish one really limited and it's depend on the shippment ???

saw a few on his in house tanks but was told not for sales or the particular plants is out of stocks....

So will be going down again tomorrow after works and see got any new arrival.......

Hey peter, I was thinking to increase my gravel base sand but after hearing yr problems made me thinks twice, what you thinks , is it ok to increase the thickness , as currently my front thk is 2.5inck and back is about 3 inch, compare to the initial setup of thickness base , I think is the base fert that have sink down to decrease my sand level...

You don't need such thick sand for plants! What is the point of having gravel on top of the base fert in the first place? Think about that..Got it?

OK I get what you mean....

That the info I get from LFS, they told me to made it thick (about 4 or 5 inch and do in one shot - which is not very convince )in order for easy planting....

Ok will leave it as it is .........

hey any comments or improving on my latest updated tanks, thanks in advance......

Is the riccia mesh still there...it looks out of place..I would personally not add it as it doesn't fit in since you have already chosen glosso as your foreground plant. Maybe you could small leave plants like MM as they look nice when compact. I'm not very good at scaping myself so I couldn't give much ideas...my target now is to grow plants well and think of scaping later...imagine scaping well but plants growing like crap...duhz.[]

A tip for newly setup tanks is to plant as much fast growing plants as possible so as to soak up all the excess nutrients and stablize the tank faster as well as to prevent anerobic areas in the substrate.

wo the riccia is planting for my friends one, actually it a temp place that above the small nana, which I thought nana don't require more light and it also stronger. I really can't find anywhere to put except there...

True peter, U need to grow yr plants well first, but I things I encounter is that land scapping is very poor for me, everytime my hand feel itche to re-scape the position of the plants ....intend to put in some reddish plants behind the rocks which the only area I can thinks of.... anyways waht is MM ?????
