    Hi,

    I am new here. I have 3ft X 1.5ft X 1.5ft tank. Filter overhead. Substrate about 2cm thick - monterey sand.

Getting 3 PL lights @25W with CO2 system. Prices was like $300 taiwanese brand plus the shop would rig it up for me. Refills at 20 bucks. Not sure about capacity of cylinder.
German brand going for like double of the above.

Called Petmart and was quoted like anything from 25 bucks onwards for CO2 system? How's that?

you may want to pop by to Nature for your CO2 requirements...as for fulling your CO2 tank, Bioplast does a pretty good job of it. Be it German, American or Taiwan CO2 tanks is a matter of price and budget..but what matters most is that it follows the international standards.....with specifications stamped on the collar of the tank

["] Hmm...I am not using a CO2 Cylinder tank at the moment, but make sure it is at full after refill. A guage would do the trick in measurement.

Tank not at Full...runs out pretty fast according to one of the fish shop taokay. Could anyone qualify the statement? I am using Natural System CO2 with DIY Refill...ie. mix the proportions after my mixture runs out since 2 months ago.

the gauge doesn't tell if it is full. only the weight tells the true story. the gauge tells the gaseous pressure only but a full tank would contain both gaseous and liquid co2. so a tank having only gaseous co2 will definately run out fast.

["] Hmm...so base on what? The weight? But each cylinder goes by its kg. We can't simply bring a weight measurer (whatever) and measure the tank right? So its pressure vs weight? pressure alone or weight alone?

Any other kind souls sharing would be appreciated. *now I remember why I hestitate to get a cylinder heh heh* -> bo $$ and knowledge.

Peter, tawauboy, appreciate if u could point me out on this too.
