I don't have a car to drive to Teo so have to use public transport
and foot to get to there. SMRT bus 975 pass by Lim Chu Kang Lane 8,
and from the map at streetdirectory, the farm is within walking distance
from the bus stop. Anyone try before?
I should be going this weekend to get my Anubias and Staurogyne sp
if it is available, anyone interested to form group and explore the place
to get the plant we need? Maybe we can get a discount.

Just be careful of the wild dogs around that area. Did you scale the map? Do not be fooled by the distance.

No choice, I poor man don't have car, so have to explore to get
to the farm. Wild dogs and plenty of mosquito will be there.
That is why I ask whether anyone tried before.

    Same as streetdirectory.
Still open to members wanting to buy plants from the source than
at the LFS to explore the place together.

I took public transport to Teo's. Boarded 975 from Chao Chu Kang, got down at Lim Chu Kang Lane 8, took the road which goes to the right, walked past Oriental Aqua Farm, on the intersection you'll find Teo's inside a compound with other farms. Hope this helps

    Cheers

PS: When i visited them in August 09, they had anubias nana, petite etc however i did not see any Staurogyne sp

Teo's is not a one stop shop for every plant you can think of so try not to be too optimistic. Just go and have fun visiting and try your luck. What is available depends on what they happen to be importing or exporting at the moment. You won't leave empty handed. If you want guaranteed stock, place an order with C328 auntie. She has the plant catalog.

Re: Getting to Teo Aquatic Plant Farm on public transport and foot

I tried walking there once. It's not that short of a distance and the wild dogs are plenty around there. Not forgetting the heat. There's also a big dog at the farm entry way, just before you arrive at Teo's. If you have to, get a cab to bring you in there, or find a friend with a car to give you a lift.

I don't go there any more, because they seldom have what I am looking for, and also because I don't own a car or bike. So I just order everything or buy on the spot at C328.

Look in our Fish Shop Directory. We've indicated the bus stop to drop off and the path to walk. The walk is only about 500 meters. I've measured it.

Why use punctuation? See what a difference it makes:
A woman, without her man, is nothing.
A woman: without her, man is nothing.

    Thank you for the information.
I have look at the LFS directory yesterday, and use streetdirectory
and the bus guide to know where to alight, so the information of 500m walk is good to hear. Look like I have to bring an umbrella both for the
    heat and dogs.

I think chocolate are harmful to dogs.
If you've learnt, teach, if you have, give.
Don't walk behind me as I might not lead, don't walk in front of me as I might not follow. Walk beside me, as my friend.

Have fun man. There's a shed to the back of the farm, that has a misting system. If you want some nice driftwood with ferns and mosses tied, you'll have an awesome time in there. If you're lucky, they just got in fresh stock of the plants and you can pick as many as you like. At the side of the farm, closer to the entrance, there's a pile of driftwood.

Pasir Ris is easier to get to, IMO. From a bus stop along Pasir Ris Drive 12, you can walk in via a shortcut along a big canal. I took that path the last time I walked in to Tropical Fish International. There's a plant farm there, where some folks got the APP aka Ah Pek Plant. I remember at least one other farm there, that used to have some nice Corydoras.

Just went there today. Excellent service. Look for tropical fish xxxx instead of Teo's aquatic farm. If lost, look for lamp post no. 39. They are just opposite. To play safe, call b4 going.

Re: Getting to Teo Aquatic Plant Farm on public transport and foot

I thought there are people from Kampong here? lol...still don't know how to deal with Dogs?

    1. How to keep dogs away from you?
Carry a cake of soap with you or rub the cake of soap on your jeans, now let's hope it won't rain. Dogs hate soap, they hate to get a bath.

    2. What if you are being attacked by the dogs?
Punched it right into the nose. Nose is the single most vulnerable weakness of a dog. If the nose is dry, the dog would be sick or dead. Cat weakness is at the tail. =)

    3. How to scare a dog who is trailing you?
Grab your fist as if you have a stone aiming at the nose, the dog will not dare to close up on you.

    4. What if you kena chase by a dog?
    Stand still.

If you ask me about the dog in Kampong, well, let's say the dog got whacked by my Dad until limping after the dog killed off an entire nest of 100++ rabbits.
