    Hi All,

I will be going away for a short family cum work advance during the christmas holidays and I intend to go shopping in JB for driftwood/fishes/crabs/aquatic plants.

Can anyone here advise me on the regulations?

    Thanks and many cheers!

    From the AVA website:

A traveller may import up to 30 fish in not more than 3 litres of water or a mixture of the different varieties of ornamental aquatic organisms provided it does not exceed 5kg in total weight and must be within a traveller's limit for the various items. For details, please refer to AVA website at www.ava.gov.sg
As for driftwood and plants, shouldn't be a problem as long as there's no soil on the roots of the plants, or bugs on the driftwood. Ask the Customs officers before you leave Singapore, just in case.

$3.50 per permit? Did you get other details regarding this permit?

Only found this short list of Malaysian LFS:

Perhaps StanChung, or the guys at MAC forums can help you out more on recommended LFS in JB.

    just came back.

visited Xiang Long in Batu Pahat and brought back three pieces of drift wood(1 feet each) for a total 13 Ringgit. Based on current exchange rate of S$100 to 245 ringgit, go figure out

Saw very nice fishes there. Very good value also. Ablino paradise fish going for 1.50 ringgit. German ram 4.50 ringgit. Black mosscow lace guppies and ablino lace guppies going at 2 ringgit.

Too bad I didn't bring my camera otherwise can shoot photos.

Going again in March during the holidays to get more wood and rocks.

I also gotten some plants back FOC.

Will post the pics of the plants later.

    you wanna organise one?

We can include a visit to the farms in Skudai, Sulong, Kluang, Kangkar, Suloh and many others.

I know that QH get their fishes from Skudai's farms.

Maybe our brothers in Malaysia can help to link up?

    Malaysia Boleh!!
