Help! Mold on HC!

I have mold on my HC!

Currently one week into using the dry start method.

My tank is about 1.5 feet, using 18W lights, nisso custom soil.

lights on about 6hrs daily

I think your water level is too much.

Try using water that is used to contain mosses to wet the substrate. I think it will contain anti fungal chemicals from mosses to help kill the mold.
