Currently I have neon tetras, cories, sulawesi snails and bumblebee horned snails, spread over 2 tanks. Just partitioned my tank and was thinking of getting some other tank mates.
Saw this fish at Colorful while waiting for my wife... Telmatherina ladigesi.. Are they suitable? Care to share your apisto tankmates?

I see, thus the beauty and cuteness might not last....![]()
I do keep about 50 Telmatherina Ladigesi with my breeding Inka pair. They stay on top and the Inka below in a 3 ft planted tank. I picked up 2 kills due to exposed wound so far ( 4 months ).You can try if you have the space and places for them to hide.
Ah! My fault - I thought Telmatherina Ladigesi is Celestial Pearl Danio. Wrong fish. Sorry!![]()
Thanks for the encouragement bro! What I have is a 2ft tank partitioned into 2 x 1ft cubes though... Maybe can give it a go, but in a smaller quantity? Care to share where I can get them? Colorful only has some in the tank swimming, which are not for sale...![]()

Telmatherina ladigesi is a good fish to keep with the Apistos, but they might eat up fry. These guys are fast swimmers. It's good to see you have a male and female T. ladigesi in that picture burpz. Good specimens too.
In my 4 foot community/planted tank, I keep my caca trio with Boraras urophthalmoides, 3 x Otocinclus sp. (which one I don't know), 4 x Aphyosemion australe and Corydoras habrosus. So far so good, but I don't expect the caca to spawn anyway. They did spawn once, but so far no new spawnings yet.
Fish.. Simply Irresistable
Back to Killies... slowly.
Thanks for sharing bro... But that picture not mine though... Still contemplating what to get...
I kept pencilfish with them, even managed to spawn them.
Guess they need the same environment to spawn.

Livestock: WC Ivanacara Adoketa, WC Apistogramma Kelleri 'Red Cheeks', A , WC Apistogramma Mendezi, WC Apistogramma Cruziero, WC Apistogramma Elizabethae and WC Biotoecus Operularis.
I bought cherry barbs last time, and thought they were pencil fish...![]()
Would zebra danios be okay? Or would they wipe out fries once they're free swimming?
Was at a LFS just now, looking for Telmatherina ladigesi, but discovered what I really looked at at Colorful was Pseudomugil furcatus. Guess these fishes swim slightly slower...

Just get otocinculus will be sufficient. Good against brown algae and won't be burly enough consume your Apistos' eggs if they happen to spawn, and yet sturdy enough to withstand your Apistos' nibbling.
I keep the hi-fin gibbiceps together with my Apistogrammas to clear the tank walls so that I can see them all the time. It's a win win situation, as the fish are too fast for the pleco to hurt and their eggs are in the cave, leaving them safe from predation.
