    hey i posted this one in another topic but it has nothing to do with the topic so i just post again

    they told me this is the standard agassizi male, but i am not sure
    can anybody tell me what kind this is?

    A look at the tail pattern will be better to help you in the ID. Some people consider the populations from Tefe, to be a separate species (ref: DATZ Apisto book).

    Looks like an A. iniridae or A. pertensis.

    The tail pattern does lend itself to be a possible Agasizzi group fish. However, the dorsal ray extension is not very visible so it could be a young male.

    Stefania, if you can, try taking a picture of this male flaring. It will be easier to tell you what it is. Who knows, you might have an Ap. pulchra right there.

    offcourse it is stressed
    i took the pic in the store, i did not buy it
    maybe it will still be there when i go back tomorrow and then i'll try to get a better pic
